Secret World Wildlife Rescue

Secret World Wildlife Rescue is a rescue centre for orphaned and injured British wildlife. They help over 3,000 animals every year, rehabilitating them and returning them to the wild. Based in Somerset, they work to inspire in everyone, a love and understanding of wildlife and the countryside.

Founded in 1992, and registered as a charity in 1995, they are open 365 days a year with a 24-hour advice line. Founder, Pauline Kidner, started her wildlife journey rehabilitating badgers leading Secret World to specialise in badger care and native species ranging from deer to foxes to slow worms.

Their team not only consists of dedicated wildlife carers, they are also complimented by staff who focus efforts on education, outreach and fundraising. The team is supported by over 300 volunteers, who assist in all areas from laundry, maintenance to animal rescues and releases.
